The AAA has established the AnthroSource Steering Committee (ASSC), a permanent 8-member committee to serve as the editorial and policy board for the portal. Members are appointed by the President to serve a 3-year term. Constituted in 2003, the Committee includes librarians, archivists, technologists; other Association members with expertise in areas such as research and scholarly communications; plus relevant AAA staff and a university press partner representative in an advisory capacity. ASSC actively solicits both Section and member input for content and functionality to best serve the diverse research methodologies and interests of the discipline.
