Committee Charge

Objectives: To meet with the AAA Program Chair to schedule invited, presidential, executive program committee sessions, public policy forums, volunteered sessions, AAA committee, and commission sessions.

Duration of Committee: Permanent

Committee Reports to: The Executive Board

Responsibilities:

• To schedule sessions evaluated by the sections program editors for the AAA Annual Meeting;
• To maximize participation with compromising quality; and 
• To develop subfield education sessions and AAA invited sessions.

Membership and Appointment:
Seven members including past AAA program chair members are appointed by the AAA president to represent diverse subfields, interests, and practices of anthropology

Terms of office: One year

Product: AAA Annual Meeting

Meetings and Schedule:  One meeting per year is scheduled over three days in July
