Experimentation in the use of microherbicides in rural areas of Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia

The following link is to a lecture, presented at SALSA (Society for the Study of Lowland South America) by Jeremy Bigwood, June 8, 2002. Bigwood reports a study, carried out in conjunction with several entities, including the government of Ecuador, regarding possible experimentation in the use of microherbicides in rural areas of Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia. The study raises important questions regarding the rights of local populations in classified experiments that may affect them.
