Add Element Category
Use the Add Element Category dialog to create new Element groupings. Active Element categories display as options for designers creating new Elements and appear in the Element Gallery.
Click Admin - Site Administration, expand Elements & Forms and select Elements. From the Manage Elements dialog click Manage Categories, then click Add New Category, or click the edit icon for a selected Element
For existing Elements, this dialog displays in edit mode, as shown above, and contains the following fields:
- Name: Required. Enter a descriptive name for the category.
- Description: Required. Describe the purpose of this category.
- Active: When checked (default) this category displays as a Categories option in the New Custom Element dialog. Unchecked, this category type is hidden. You cannot deactivate the default category.
- Default: When checked, makes this the default category for Elements created at your site. The default category displays first in the Categories drop down for creating new Elements, as shown below. You cannot delete the default category.
