Add Server Permissions
With CommonSpot's granular security controls, you can assign full Server Administration rights or a subset of these rights. This dialog displays in edit mode for existing users, as shown below.
This dialog displays the following options:
- Server Administration: When checked, assigns the highest level of access to the selected user or group and automatically enables all other rights. When unchecked, enables selective assignment of server-level permissions.
- Manage Customers: For installations that require independent security for individual user groups or for hosting customers, assigns permission to create and delete customers and edit customer profiles. Selecting this option automatically enables Use Server Administrator Page.
- Create Sites: For administrators with appropriate permissions , explicitly enable site creation rights through the Sites on this Server Create New Site option. Selecting this option automatically enables Use Server Administrator Page.
- Server Maintenance: Restricts access to using the Utilities options for running server tools and viewing job status. Automatically enables the Use Server Administrator Page option.
- Use Server Administrator Page: Automatically selected for all other options requiring Server Administration access. When checked with no other options, explicitly enables read-only access to the Server Administration dashboard.
