Top-Level Site Directories

Each top-level site created will have the following subdirectories automatically created in the root directory of the top-level site:

_cs_apps – This directory contains your Custom Applications built with the Custom Application Framework. Each application built within the framework will be contained within its own directory, which will be within the _cs_apps directory.
_cs_upload – This directory contains all uploaded documents for the site, and contains subdirectories corresponding to each subsite. Uploaded content that is readable by anonymous users is copied to the appropriate subsite’s ‘upload’ directory. The Web server should be configured to exclude all access to this directory and all of its subsites.
_cs_xmlpub – This directory will contain the XSL for the available XML Publications (contained within the “xsl” directory) as well as the default XML for “Feed Not Found” and “Feed Reader Settings” (contained within the “xml” directory)
cp-xxx – (where xxx is the site name). This directory and all of its child subdirectories make up the full-text search collection for this subsite. Note that depending on how your collections are configured, this directory may not exist.
customfields – The customfields directory contains custom modules that define custom field types for use with metadata, simple forms, and custom Elements.
datasheet-modules – This subdirectory is used to house the ColdFusion modules invoked by action columns within the Datasheet Element. All Read and Write security permissions should be assigned appropriately through the file system.
lex – Contains the dictionaries and auxiliary files for the spell check feature.
masks – This directory contains the Field Masks created by a developer for handling the input form and output HTML for a system variable.
renderhandlers – This directory is used to house any Custom Element Rendering Handler modules. Custom Element Rendering Handlers are used to override the standard rendering of several CommonSpot Elements.
rte-snippets – This directory contains short text fragments for use with the rich text editor.
style – This directory contains the Cascading Style Sheet files created by a site designer for use on the site. The files here will be available in a selection dialog when defining the .css files that will be part of a style sheet set.
