Content Security Permissions
Access this dialog by clicking Content Security - Add User or Content Security - Add Group or by clicking the edit icon
for a selected group or user in the Content Security Permissions dialog. Use this dialog to set default or enforced permissions for current subsite content. Setting enforced permissions overrides other security settings for content in this subsite.
Anonymous users (non-CommonSpot contributors) have only two options.
The following options are available for assignment to authenticated CommonSpot users. Use Default options to set standard rights that can be modified on an as-needed or exception basis at the page, template, or Element level, or enforce a set of rights.
This dialog displays the following standard CommonSpot options for controlling access to the current subsite:
- Read: Grants permission to view, but not modify, the page.
- History: Grants permission to review page versions and comment history.
- Author: Grants permission to update and revise the page.
- Edit: Grants permission to view and modify all page changes, to delete, copy, and move the page, to modify standard and custom properties, and to view or change security settings.
- Design: Grants permission to view and modify template and element controls affecting page display and layout.
- Style: Grants permission to view or change page styles.
- Admin: Grants permission to delete, copy, and move the page, modify standard and custom properties, and view or change security settings.
- No Rights: No access.
- Approval: Displays approval roles set through Site Administration Approval Levels options. Select from the drop down to optionally assign these explicit rights.
- Grayed-out check boxes: Indicate non-modifiable permissions enforced at the site level.
Select options and click Save to set or change permissions, or Cancel to exit without saving.
