New Site Name
The New Site Name dialog, the second dialog in the site creation process, requests site identity and description.
New Site Name contains the following fields:
- Customer - Displays the CommonSpot instance to use for the new site. Most environments will display one option. For sites licensed to support one or more Users database, displays a dropdown for associating the new site with the appropriate customer. See Customers for more information.
- Name - Required. Enter a logical alphanumeric name for the new site. Site names cannot contain spaces or special characters. Important Note: You cannot change the site name.
- Description - Required. The site description displayed in the Description section of CommonSpot Page Index Elements when Subsites are returned.
- Display Name - Optional. The display name is the short name displayed when this site is referenced by dynamic CommonSpot hyperlink Elements, for example, the Link Bar or Breadcrumb Elements. Leaving this blank may affect how subsite links are rendered from several CommonSpot Elements.
After you complete the new site name requirements, click Next to display the New Site Configuration dialog or Cancel to exit without saving new site information.
