Call for papers: Panel on Contemporary Teaching Challenges in Anthropology, at Home and Abroad
We are looking for one or two additional participants for a panel on contemporary teaching challenges in anthropology. Currently we have four presenters, and topics include (1) creating an immersive experience for students in short-term, faculty-led study abroad (Gareth Barkin, University of Puget Sound), (2) the politics of teaching the anthropology of religion at a religious institution (Brian Howell, Wheaton College), and (3) recreating the introductory anthropology course for the Twenty-First Century (Erin Stiles, University of Nevada Reno). If you have a teaching-related topic on which you'd like to present, and you're interested in joining the panel, please email ASAP. We are still developing our session abstract, and would like all presenters' abstracts in order to incorporate them into the text.
