"Globalization and Community Health Field School” in collaboration with the Monteverde Institute in Costa Rica. The field school is unique in its interdisciplinary approach that brings together the fields of Anthropology and Civil and Environmental Engineering to address health related issues in rural Costa Rica. Students receive intensive cross-disciplinary training in quantitative and qualitative methods and conduct guided field research while living with local Costa Rican families. We have two concurrent programs: one for undergraduate students which is supported by an NSF REU grant and one for graduate students. The NSF-REU covers most program expenses and offers participating undergraduates a weekly stipend. Attached please find the flyers for both programs. Please distribute this information widely. Here’s a link to a video made by our 2013 REU students
