Description
The pack is combination of two Balkan Heritage Field School (BHFS) projects focused on Balkan Prehistory. It provides to either students or people interested in Archaeology and Prehistory comprehensive experience (from four to eight weeks, covering the Early and Middle Balkan Neolithic and Chalcolithic (Copper Age) periods) at two different sites: Illindentsi Neolithic settlement and Tell Yunatsite, both located in Bulgaria. What is more, choosing to participate in the pack’s proposals the BHFS participants will benefit from the considerably reduced admission fees and faster registration. The PACK combines the following Balkan Heritage Field School (BHFS) projects: The Birth of Europe - Excavations of the Neolithic Settlement Ilindentsi (Bulgaria) (BEBG.EXC 14) Rise and Fall of the First European Civilization - Tell Yunatsite Excavations (YU.EXC 14) Pack's locations: Ilindentsi and Pazardzhik, Bulgaria. Participants in the pack will be expected to arrive first in Ilindentsi. At Ilindentsi: participants will be accommodated in comfortable rooms with two to three beds (bathrooms with shower and WC, TV) in a local guest house, wich also provides a cheap laundry service and free Wi-Fi. Participants are not expected to bring any additional equipment, bedclothes or towels. Three meals (fresh, organic Bulgarian homemade food) per day are covered by the admission fee. At Pazardzhik: participants will be accommodated in comfortable rooms with two to three beds (bathrooms with shower and WC, TV, air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi) in a downtown-hotel in Pazardzhik. Requests for vegetarian food are accepted. Cost: Starting from €2,320 (app. $3,015 USD. Check current exchange rates!). Tuition: Starting from €345
