AAA to Co-Sponsor
Humanities Advocacy Day

Once again, the AAA is a co-sponsor of Humanities Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill.  The annual two-day event, to be held this year on April 6 - 7, is designed to promote federal support for research, education, and public programs in the humanities.  Participants will receive advocacy training and be briefed on a variety of legislative and policy issues prior to organized visits with Members of Congress.  As always, the event is being coordinated by the National Humanities Alliance, of which the AAA is a longstanding member.  Interested AAA members are encouraged to register and participate, particularly if they are or have been recipients of National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) grants.  The registration deadline for the event is March 21.  Detailed information and online registration is available here:  Questions should be directed to Paul Nuti, Director of External, International & Government Relations at the AAA office -- OR 703-528-1902 x3008.
