| The Anthropology Department seeks a broadly trained cultural anthropologist to teach in our four-field undergraduate program. The successful candidate must demonstrate teaching and scholarly excellence in Latin American culture, with emphases in language/linguistics and gender. Full time teaching in cultural anthropology, research, and service in the community, related to expertise. Depending upon expertise, the incumbent will be expected to teach existing courses, including: Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, Language and Culture, Advanced Cross-Cultural Linguistics, Gender, Mesoamerica, Theory, and Methods. Demonstrated completion of Ph.D. by June 2012 is required. Candidate must be committed to GVSU’s vision of inclusion and equity and its general education goals.
