Position in Latino/a Studies at Swarthmore College:

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Swarthmore College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Social/ Cultural Anthropology at the Assistant Professor level beginning in the Fall of 2013. We seek applicants who specialize in the anthropology of Latin America and/or Latinos and Latinas in the Americas with a research agenda that focuses on one or more of the following areas: visual anthropology, immigration, borderlands, globalization, and neoliberalism. PhD in hand at time of appointment and teaching experience preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to teach five courses a year, one of which must be a methods course of their choosing.
