The Department of Anthropology at Tufts University is seeking qualified applicants to teach one replacement course in Spring 2013.  Contemporary Anthropological Perspectives on Latinos in the US will be a special topics course with a focus on an area of the candidate’s expertise (e.g. Latinos in New England, bilingualism, the Afro-Latino experience, migration, transnationalism, identity formation), while at the same time introducing students to a range of anthropological approaches to analyzing and interpreting contemporary Latino communities in the US.  An advanced degree (or substantial progress toward a PhD) in anthropology is strongly preferred, but applicants from closely related fields will be considered if they also have relevant experience in anthropology.
