National Academy of Sciences and National Research Council: committee on GE Crops

The National Academy of Sciences and National Research Council have formed a committee to head a study that “…will provide an independent, objective examination of what has been learned since the introduction of GE crops based on current evidence. The study will assess whether initial concerns and promises were realized and will investigate new concerns and recent claims.”

Public comment on the make-up of the committee is possible through August
5th.  Concerns have been raised that the committee lacks sufficient social
