Call for Papers:
113th Annual Meeting of the American Anthropological Association,
Washington, DC
December 3-7, 2014
CALL FOR PAPERS
AAA 2014/SOCIETY FOR THE ANTHROPOLOGY OF EUROPE

The SAE welcomes paper and poster session proposals for consideration at this year’s American Anthropological Association meeting in Washington, DC (3-7 December 2014) The meeting theme, “Producing Anthropology,” offers anthropologists of Europe an opportunity to rethink disciplinary understandings of how we produce anthropological knowledge. What goals do we want to set for ourselves? What partnerships should we build? What audiences should we seek?

For the 2014 annual meeting, the SAE program chair is Krista Harper (kharper@anthro.umass.edu). Please contact her with your ideas for invited sessions, Innovents, papers or posters. Jaime Franquesa (jaume@buffalo.edu) is the program-chair elect and will be in charge of coordinating the SAE roundtable luncheon.

Harper and Franquesa are available to help you develop your paper, poster, or roundtable luncheon sessions and assist in the development of program proposals. We highly encourage panels or other events that unite AAA sections and are suitable candidates for co-sponsorship.

We would especially welcome proposals for posters, which is a format historically underutilized by section members. Posters are a particularly effective way of presenting visual data, or introducing preliminary research. They are displayed for 1 hr 45 minutes, allowing presenters to talk about their projects one-on-one with interested viewers.
