Lemelson conference and student fellowship funds
The SPA is now accepting applications for both the Lemelson/SPA Conference Fund and the Lemelson Student Fellowships. The SPA board voted to broaden the eligibility of the student fellowships so that applicants’ advisors no longer need to be members of the SPA. The deadline for both is February 15, 2013. With the SPA biennial meeting coming up, you can now book a room at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay online through Passkey or by calling Hyatt’s Central Registration (1-888-421-1442). If you call, please indicate that you are attending the “AAA/SPA Biennial Meeting” to receive the reduced conference rates. The reduced conference rates are: Single, Double and Triple Occupancy: $189; Quadruple Occupancy: $239; and VIP and Waterfront Suites: $239. Reservations must be made by March 13th, 2013 to receive these rates. Conference rates are available to attendees for three days before and after the dates of the conference as well. Complementary Internet is available in all hotel rooms and daytime parking is free. Overnight parking is $14 per day.
